James Firminger has been aiming high – he has training with the England men’s netball team.
But James has his feet on the ground as he looks to his future as he will be going to Burnley College to study Psychology, History and Spanish.
He celebrated one Grade 7, four Grade 6s and three Grade 5s in his GCSEs,
“Netball is my passion, I am a referee and I enjoy playing,” said James, who plays for Manchester Spartans.
“It’s amazing to train with England but the standard is very high. It’s intense and England are a long way behind countries such as Australia and New Zealand but it’s where we want to be.
“Netball has been good for me as I have been to primary schools and on BBC5 Live speaking about it. It’s something I am keen to promote.”
