Li-Bau is confident Preston North End's future is in safe hands after signing a pre-scholarship with the Championship club.

The Year 9 pupil was spotted playing for Rosegrove Juniors and is entering his fifth year at Deepdale.

"I ended up becoming a goalkeeper as when I was about four, Rosegrove entered a tournament and the regular goalkeeper didn't want to play so I went in goal and never looked back," he said.

"I enjoy it at PNE and my dream is to be a professional footballer."
