Blessed Trinity student Anya has won one of just 10 places to play rugby and study a BTEC in Sports Science at Loughborough College.
The 15-year-old has already made big strides in the rugby world as, despite being in the younger age group, she has already played for Lancashire Under 18s and North of England Under 18s.
She attended a gruelling trial at Loughborough College but got the news she had won a spot.
"I am really excited," said Anya, who was also selected for the England Under 15 Development Group meaning she was in the top 30 in England in her age group.
"It will be hard as I will be moving away from home and from my friends but I know it's a chance in a lifetime.
"It was a hard selection process as I had an interview and then had to show a range of rugby skills but I am so happy to secure one of just 10 places on the course.”
