Poppy was one of the top performers at Blessed Trinity''s Expressive Arts Evening.

There was entertainment from dancers, drama students, pianists and singers as the school's talented performers took to the stage.

Poppy, 12, played a cornet solo 'Tennessee Rag.'

She has recently passed her Grade One examination and has now moved onto Grade Two.

"I practise with music teacher Mr McArdle and I enjoy it," said Poppy.

"I have played the cornet since I tried it in Year Three and I want to go as high as I can."
